Director

Dr. Babatunde Sosan A.g Director, MUSON School of Music.

Babatunde was introduced to the piano at the age of 7 by his grandmother Arinola Sosan, who later introduced him to a private teacher, Tolu Obajimi, Organist and Master of the music, Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina, Lagos. He is now a concert pianist and organist as well as a qualified physiotherapist.

Another early influence on Babatunde was his grandfather, the renowned Dr. T.K Ekundayo Philips, a great organist and composer. This musical heritage provided a solid foundation from which his musical career blossomed.

He was sponsored by the Women’s Guild Auxiliary and other generous members of the Cathedral Church to study at Trinity College of music, London, from where he obtained a B.Mus. Degree in Piano and organ performance. His musical interest cuts across a broad range of styles from jazz to contemporary, classical, gospel and Latin based music. He particularly loves gospel and jazz as they provide a more accommodating platform for his skills.
Babatunde teaches jazz and orchestral/instrumental arrangement at the MUSON School of music.

He is the resident pianist of The Musical Society of Nigeria and the A.g School of Music.

He is married to Adejoke and they are blessed with two lovely daughters.
